As chairman of Areva, Irene Swaminathan JD. MBA R.Ph, a pharmacist and patent attorney, combines her expertise in the pharmacy arena with the global manufacturing sector to provide quality, low-cost pharmaceuticals to all segments of the health care community. Supported by a management team encompassing over 100 years of industry experience, Areva’s portfolio and product pipeline provides pharmacists with an exceptional source of quality and innovative pharmaceutical products.

Victor Swaminathan, R.Ph.
FOUNDER, BOARD MEMBER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Since 2007, Mr. Swaminathan has been developing manufacturing partnerships and building the initial product portfolio for Areva. His vision of a global pharmaceutical company specializing in injectable drug therapy will serve the company well as he focuses on strategic manufacturing and product relationships.
Mr. Swaminathan is a 15-year seasoned pharmacist with the entrepreneurial DNA. He has founded two healthcare companies in the span of 10 years. His first company, ADiO Pharmacy Health Service Management is a long term care platform that serves 60% of Kentucky’s mental health patients. With his experience as founder and president of ADiO, he was the driving force behind the creation of Areva Pharmaceuticals.
In 2015, he became a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, which recognizes the endeavors of exceptional men and women who create products and services to keep the world-wide economy moving forward.
Mr. Swaminathan earned a degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State University and also serves on the Chair Advisory Board/Business Administration at Murray State University.
BOARD MEMBER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mr. Burke is an accomplished pharmaceutical veteran with over 30 years of generic pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical experience. He began his pharmaceutical career at Upsher Smith Laboratories and excelled to Chief Operating Office, steering the global pharmaceutical company and directing functional departments. Mr. Burke brings his expertise in corporate strategy and planning to position Areva towards future growth.
Mr. Murphy is a versatile pharmaceutical veteran with 30 years of experience in generics. As the former President and CEO of Ben Venue Laboratories & Roxane Laboratories he has provided the overall leadership for a 1,500 employee pharmaceutical organization, with responsibility for the oversight of contract manufacturing, generic injectables, and generic oral solids and liquids.
Mr. Murphy brings a wealth of senior level experience in sales, operations, business development, pipeline strategy, and strategic partnerships.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Olson is responsible for daily operations, global business development, upstream marketing and the overall sales strategy for Areva Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Olson is an industry veteran with over 30 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and distribution. He has held executive roles for major pharmaceutical companies including: Bindley Western, Bedford Laboratories, American Health Packaging and American Regent. His expertise has been in the sales and marketing of sterile injectable pharmaceuticals, working with wholesalers, group purchasing organizations and regional IDN’s.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr. Eveslage has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and consumer products industries. From 2009 to 2014, Jim was responsible for finance at Kindred’s Home Health and Hospice division, growing the business from start-up to over $300 million in revenue in 5 years. Prior to that, he served over 20 years in a variety of executive financial positions at Brown-Forman Corporation, a multinational producer and marketer of well-known distilled spirits and fine wine. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand CPA, the predecessor to PriceWaterhouse Coopers. He is a CPA and has an MBA from Bellarmine University.

Irene Swaminathan, J.D., M.B.A., R.Ph.
Mrs. Swaminathan possesses excellent credentials in pharmacy, law and management. As a practicing patent attorney, Mrs. Swaminathan’s strengths are essential to lead the company through legal contracts, human resources, administrative procedures, tax laws and patent issues. She received training at Humana and at the Internal Revenue Service.
Dr. Ian Mathison, Ph.D., D.Sc.
Dr. Mathison earned his professional degree in Pharmacy and his subsequent doctoral degrees (Ph.D. and D.Sc.) from the University of London in England.During his long tenure as Dean of Ferris State University’s College of Pharmacy he instituted an educational program that guided students to provide state of the art pharmacy services in their professional careers. Dr. Mathison received recognition for his academic and research accomplishments by being honored as a Fellow of both the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science.
Mr. Fennell (retired) has established a successful career in finance and was the Senior Vice President at PNC Bank and Chairman, President, and CEO of National City Bank of Southern Indiana. He brings his expertise in corporate finance and investment banking to guide the company through capital investments and strategic financial direction.
In addition to being on Areva’s board of directors, Mr. Fennell is the Vice Chair, board member of Volunteers of America – MidStates, board member of Presbyterian Home Service, Kentucky, and board member of KentuckyOne Health.
Jasmine Patel, Pharm.D.
Mrs. Patel earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy, and has over 17 years of industry experience. She joined Areva’s board in 2017 and is keen in providing quality patient care. Her skills focus on medication knowledge, mitigating risks associated with medications, and being a front-line educator by liaising doctor to patient communications. Mrs. Patel has a high level of emotional IQ and brings the management and interpersonal care necessary to make patients first.
